  1. This is great information. It shows the importance of having a subscriber list when social media platforms go down. Thank you for sharing.

  2. I use Mailchimp, but have thought about switching to one of the others. My list is still small, so I have time to do research and make my decision once that happens. Thank you for sharing!

  3. Great post. When i started using WordPress i opted and used mailchimp but currently all my blogs run on Feedburner subscription

  4. Those were a great list of apps that I can use with my email marketing. GetResponse sounds very useful and I’ll have to check on it.

  5. I really need to step up my marketing game on blogger. I have slacked for sure but I have to keep my focus on it because blog awareness is important if you want in the industry. I have to get on board with constant contact and mailchimp because I currently don’t use them.

  6. My friend is still using Mailchimp and she totally recommend it. Thanks for this very helpful list for us to check.

  7. There’s a couple services that I hadn’t heard of. You have great summaries about each one. I just recently started using MailChimp and I like it a lot.

  8. I used to use Mail Chimp. I didn’t like it at all. I would love to use Convertkit but it costs money. I am not a big blog yet. It is too expensive.

    1. Hi, Mailchimp is good for new bloggers, you can use it to build a subscriber list in the beginning, then migrate to better ones like ConvertKit when you are established.

  9. Thank you for introducing me to some new email marketing services – I will definitely be checking them out. I already knew of Mailchimp but always like to try other services to see what suits my needs best.

  10. This is going to help a lot of internet based business men and women. Email marketing can be highly effective if you can do it correctly.

  11. I personally use (read: set up) MailChimp but i find it hard to build an email list. Any tips and pointers on how to grow your subscriber list?

    1. Have you implemented a call to action to enable you get more subscribers? That is what I use, and more than 80 % of my subscribers come through it. You can use a plugin called boxzilla to implement a call to action. This is a small box that slides in from the bottom right or left as someone scrolls down. It converts better than just putting in a subscriber form in your sidebar or below your blog contents. Try it. Another method is to put a link to your sign up form in your content. You can ask your readers to join your newsletter list directly. lastly you can use freebies, give something freely in exchange of an email. I hope this helps.

  12. Thank you for such a great round-up of tools for bloggers. I am jumping on the MailChimp bandwagon by saying I love their products, but their customer service (or lack of) makes it challenging. When you want to quickly send an email and it is incorrectly flagged and held for three days before customer service replies it isn’t really helpful anymore. I am hoping to increase my list and then switch to Convertkit or Constant Contact. Thanks for mentioning Get Response – I have never heard of that one and will look into it.

    1. Hi, thanks for those insightful comments. Constant Contact, Convertkit and GetResponse are some of the best in the market. So you will definitely narrow down to the price. In my opinion, GetResponse has affordable pricing. They also give a free trial that you can sign up without giving Credit card details. Mailchimp is good especially when you are starting, but if you want great sign forms, professional email templates that will enable you convert highly, then you go for the other 3.

  13. I’m currently in the market for a new email marketing program. My domain is set up through wix, but the plan that I have only allows for 3 emails a month. That makes it hard when I post often and are trying to build a relationship and keep communication open with my subscribers. I don’t want to upgrade my whole plan just for more emails but I also don’t want to break the bank using another platform. Thank you so much for these options – I’ll have to look into them!

    1. Hi Veronica, it is always good to compare different service providers, but from my experience GetResponse is one of the best. Maybe you can give them a try through their free offer and see how their services work.

    1. Email marketing offers a good way to get additional traffic, remember for you to get traffic say from social media, you must be active on daily basis, and also you might be restricted by some of these social media networks but with a list of subscribers you don’t need to worry, you just set it up, and every thing works well in the long run. Some like GetResponse give a free trial where you can test out their services.

  14. I’ve heard of a few of these services but it’s good to now have a few more to decide which one is the best fit for me. Thanks!

  15. Thanks for the great info. I’m currently using MailChimp, my blog is pretty new so their program is good for now. Hopefully my subscribers will grow to where I will have to upgrade!

    1. Hi, thanks for visiting. Yes, MailChimp is good especially if you are just starting out on building a list since they provide up to 2000 free subscribers and even free automation.

  16. Nice list. I was planning to start out with Mailchimp since it’s the most recognized one but at the end I read info on mailer lite and decided to start out with them. Have you heard or used Mailer lite?

    1. Have heard of Mailerlite, though never used it, I understand it might be somehow be having same features as Mailchimp. I have used MailChimp, and I would recommend it to new bloggers who are just starting out with building a list, they have free plan upto 2000 subscribers which comes with automation tool.

    1. Hi Janice, am grateful for your comments. I like Mailchimp, especially for allowing automation and up to 2000 subscribers free which I find very useful to new bloggers.

  17. Thank you so much for writing this post! I need to switch my email list management system in the next month or two, and this roundup will be helpful to refer back to!

  18. I switched from mailchimp to convertkit, but I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone, as each person had different skills and needs! I like to know about the different apps so I can recommend them to people. Thanks!

    1. Hi Serena, I appreciate your comments on this post. Yes, it is good to have knowledge on the various services available to help you make a good informed decision with regard to price and quality.

  19. I am using mailchimp and not too happy. I really just can’t get a subscriber form to work on my blog page (only the pop up one is working right) but it is a start.

  20. Mailchimp also has the best rating when coming to your inbox. There service keeps the most mail out of the inbox from a study that I heard.

  21. I use Mailchimp but recently decided to walk away from them, they are getting really expensive over time if you increase your email database. The templates are horriable and their support for multi screens and responsive design is useless. Weakness in elements, forms, bounce rate and Apple support, not very professional
