The ultimate goal for bloggers is to monetize their blogs and create some income flow from them, but getting the right ad networks to monetize your blog can be a challenging task to new bloggers or even seasoned bloggers.
We have several ways you can monetize your blog, and these include:
Displaying ads is one of the simpler way to monetize your blog provided you have a good traffic to your website. To find the right and reputable networks to work with, you need to do research or ask for recommendations from successful or established bloggers, this is to avoid signing up for ad networks that will waste your time and end up generating no revenue.
At now, Google AdSense, is one of the very best ad network to monetize a blog or website, but getting approved can be the main stumbling block for many bloggers. You may have the best website in terms of content and traffic and still your application can be rejected by Google AdSense.

So what do you do, if your dream was to use Google AdSense, but now you can’t get past the approval stage? You look for alternatives. The very best alternative to Google AdSense, is Media.net.
Note that, even if you are already using Google AdSense, you can add Media.net without affecting the Google AdSense policy.

Media.net was one of the first networks, I joined when I was just starting out my blog, and over the years, I have found it to be the best as compared to other alternatives to Google AdSense.
I would recommend Media.net to any publisher or blogger for the following reasons:
This format filters the user’s intent via relevant search keywords resulting in finely targeted ads and much higher revenues as advertisers are willing to pay more for visitors with qualified intent.
Native ads are completely customized to the look and feel of your pages for higher user engagement. With native ads, you have the option of driving your audience to contextually relevant articles on your site through the native unit.
With display ads, you have access to high quality from major buyer networks. You stand to benefit from media net relationships with major networks like DSPs, DMPs, Vertical networks, Performance networks, Horizontal networks, Agency trading desks among others.

Thanks John, we are currently using Google ads, I like that you may add media net without disrupting google ads, we will be checking it out this week!
Hi, am glad to learn that, yes, you can earn additional revenue by combining Google adsense and Media net ads. This doesn't affect Google Policy.
I'm currently using media.net. Since you've used them before, I have a quick question for you. Do you get money from impressions or clicks? There's been days when I've had over 100 impressions and earned nothing. Then, days I only get like 30 impression, I get a few cents... ?
Hi, thanks for visiting, they pay for both impressions and clicks. You may have 30 impressions with say 3 clicks, that will earn you more than 100 impressions with 0 clicks. The countries from which you drive most of your traffic from also determines how much money you can make with media net. Try as much as possible targeting US,UK and Canada traffic to increase your earnings.
I'll check this out! Thanks for linking up with #globalblogging
Hi, much appreciated.
Done Done and Done... I so appreciated reading this. I have applied, been approved and implemented media net with my blog and it's been .. yes, a valuable asset. I have to add, they have superior customer service. While it's super easy to use, I've mostly appreciated the quick email replies and in the short time i've been with them, I have asked for a few skype calls for assistance and understanding. They are always right on it! Customer service is where it's at in my book. They've been incredible ... and all thanks to you John!
Hey Kim, thanks for the comprehensive input. You are most welcomed!
This is a great alternative to Google Adsense. I like the quick turn around time for application processing.
True! no much restrictions in place!
I'm happy to see that there are alternatives to Google. I've read of other bloggers agonizing over not being accepted by them so I will steer them to this post where they can get information on Media.net, Thanks!
Hi Shirley, thanks very much for visiting and taking time to comment.
Can't say I'd heard of Media.net. How does it compare with the likes of Mediavine and AdThrive? Have you tried both of those also?
Hi, I think media net takes care of all blogs or websites with reasonable amount of traffic, you don't need to have thousands of visitors like in the case with Mediavine that requires 25,000 visitors monthly, and AdThrive up to 100,000 visits. So in terms of requirements, anyone with active blog, can apply for Media.net but for the other two, they need high end websites with tens or hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors. I have been using media net for almost two years now, and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to make some additional revenue on a blog in addition to adsense.
Thanks for writing this post, I will have to check them out. #InspireMeLink
